Thankfully, it seems that Ava is now adjusted to the daylight savings time schedule and has been going to bed around 1930 and waking up between 6:30 and 6:45. This makes Maman and Papa very happy, as getting up and playing at 7:00 is much more reasonable than 5:30!
This morning, after feeding and changing her, I woke up Marc to take Ava downstairs and I crawled back into bed for a little more shut-eye. Unfortunately, I only snoozed until 8 because Marc had to take our car in to the local mechanic for a tune-up and to get a quote for some other work we have been putting off getting done. He left just after 8 and was back home before 8:30. After Ava ate breakfast and I cleaned up the kitchen a bit, we went downstairs to play.
Initially, I thought that Marc might watch Ava for the majority of the morning so that I could possibly take advantage of having another little nap, but he wasn't feeling well and he went back to bed instead! Ava was not interested in napping at this time so back we went to continue playing downstairs. Finally at 11:30, she fell asleep in her crib and I went and had a little nap, too!
Around 1300, my dad called to say that he would like to stop by for a visit. Ava was a little unsure at first, but she warmed up right away and was giving him smiles, swatting at his face with her little hands and sitting on his lap. She had a good time showing off her toys to Opa, as well as chatting up a storm with him, too.
After Opa left, Ava took another short little nap (as seems to be becoming her norm) before supper. The rest of the evening involved eating supper, having a bath and going to bed. Tomorrow, Marc is not going to be home until after noon, so it will likely be a low-key day to say the least. Fortunately, Papa will be home tomorrow night as he took the night off!! Yay! Hopefully we will have an opportunity to go for a swim sometime this week.
