Active was a good way to describe our day today. After Ava awoke at 6:30 and was fed, I took her downstairs to play. She was screeching away, talking to her toys and excersaucer. Once the boys woke up she watched them play some Guitar Hero and was quite fascinated.
Just before nine, Marc woke up because Earl decided to go and give him a nudge out of bed. By this time, I was pretty done with watching the boys play Turning Japanese over and over again on the game so I handed Ava over to her Papa and decided to take a little nap. Ava also had a little nap in her crib around eleven but it didn't last too long. By 11:30 we were all up and back downstairs, ready to make some brunch before heading off for a Grey Cup party at Grandmaman and Grandpapa's.
We headed off to the party just before 1400, armed with our swimsuits and towels so that we could take a dip before the big game. The boys and Marc brought along their snorkel masks to practice using them before our Hawaiian vacation (luckily they have a while to practice!) Ava had a lot of fun swimming! She started out in the toddler pool and was extremely comfortable right off the bat. She then went with her Papa in the big pool and was also fearless! I then took her back in the little pool and while I was holding her, facing away from me and swaying side-to-side in the pool, she fell ASLEEP! Isn't that too crazy?! By this time we had been swimming for an hour, so it was about time to head back upstairs, anyway.
Once upstairs we all got changed (Ava woke up as soon as we laid her down) and started munching on some snacks Grandmaman and Grandpapa put out. Jacques really enjoyed eating the chessy poufs! Before too long it was time to eat the chili that had been simmering for most of the day. It was very good!! At half time we ate the delicious banana pudding pie which is one of my very favourite desserts! This delicious meal just happened to top off the fact that I also won $50 in a Grey Cup pool!!
By 1830, Ava was pretty much done. I had forgotten to pack her pyjamas, so we needed to head home before the game ended so that she could get to bed at a relatively normal time for her. It kind of worked out well because Alix and Sam needed to get ready for school tomorrow anyway. We got in the car and Ava was asleep by the time we were in the middle of the Norwood Bridge! I told Marc to just drive the boys home rather than drop Ava and I off at home since she was sleeping. When we did get home, Ava was asleep in her bed after a quick feeding by 1940 and I do not think she will be waking up before 6!! What a tired little munchkin!

But she was such a trooper! Amazing what a little water bed cat nap can do for a girl! :)
Yes...but unfortunatey she did not have a great night's sleep even after all that! It's almost as if throwing her off her schedule really throws her for a loop!
