Bowling

This morning Marc got up with Ava so that I could sleep in a bit. I got up at about 8:30, because if I sleep much later I feel completely behind for the rest of the day!

The boys had bowling today and Marc took Ava with them so that I could get some much-needed cleaning done around the house. I managed to clean up the dishes, the stovetop, finish off the bathroom on the main floor (started cleaning it the other day and was 2/3 done), vacuum the basement and I just got started in Ava's room when they all came home. The two hours flew by, and I got only a fraction of the stuff done!

I put the brakes on my cleaning while Marc prepared lunch for all of us and then he went for a little nap. I played with Ava downstairs and we even watched the boys play some Guitar Hero before it was clear that Ava needed a nap. It was 1400 by this time and I knew she would fight the sleep but she was running out of steam. It did take a few minutes but she finally gave in and fell asleep which she is currently doing. That's the only reason why I'm posting a blog so early!

Tonight we are hoping to have a late dinner with our friends Andre and Aileen if Andre manages to get off work on time (he's a paramedic also). It will be a nice treat to go out, just Marc and I! I honestly can't remember the last time we went out in the evening just for fun! (We have gone to a banquet recently, but it was a semi-work thing for Marc). Wish us luck!
