On Wednesday I received word that I got my new position. Today I got a Facebook message from the lady that parked at our house on Wednesday with the friend in labour. Apparently the mother named her baby "Angel Grace Marie". This completely freaked me out because my (maiden) name is "Angel Maria Greiss" and my name has been mispronounced as "Grace" many times. Anyway, I thought this was kind of cool.
The other cool thing that happened was that a lady who owns a private home daycare called us today to offer us a spot for Ava this coming April! After further conversation, it turns out that she is the sister of one of Joelle's best friends! So, the bonus is that Marc knows the family and has a good idea as to what kind of person she is and feels comfortable with Ava being at her house at this point. She also lives very close to our house and Joelle and Kevin's, so pick-ups won't be a problem. We are still meeting with her next Saturday to check out the daycare space and look over her contract for daycare, etc.
I feel so extremely blessed by all of this good news. I think I need to pinch myself to make sure everything is real! As I was telling Kevin earlier this evening, I half expect AFM to call me back and say "Haha! Just kidding about the job!" It's all too surreal!! But I am soo thankful.
Ava had a good day today. We had breakfast at Chez Cora and she had some egg, toast, bananas and strawberries! After we came home, she had a little nap and then played with her toys. She was very tired this evening, though, and went to bed around 1930. She fussed for a few minutes in her crib, but is sleepign soundly now. Hopefully it will not be too early when she wakes up tomorrow morning!
Marc's mom and dad, Christian, Michelle and Calla left for LA today. Hopefully the flight went well and they caught their connection in Chicago.
Tooth update: Still just peeking through, but seems to be a little more evident.
