This afternoon Ava got a much-anticipated visit from Grandmaman and Grandpapa! At first she wasn't too sure when she saw them at the door, but warmed up very quickly! She spent most of the visit in Grandmaman's arms, but then wanted to demonstrate her skills on the playmat for her guests.
Ava received some very beautiful outfits that were brought from LA for her, so we are looking forward to wearing those soon! I have been holding off on buying her new clothes until we go on our trip to Fargo in two weeks. It has been very hard not to buy all those cute outfits out there!! I have been avoiding the baby sections at stores just so I'm not tempted to buy her things!
After the visit ended and Grandmaman and Grandpapa headed for Safeway and then home, Ava took a brief nap and then was in a great mood. She played on her mat for almost an hour on her own (with me sitting close by, of course) and then did a great job eating her supper! I then got her ready for bed as usual and she was asleep in her crib just after seven.
Once she was snug in bed, I ran downstairs to get supper started and by the time Marc got home it was pretty much ready. We ate dinner, watched "Dragon's Den" and "Canada's Worst Driver" and pretty much just vegged. It will be a nice treat to sleep in tomorrow morning as Marc has offered to get up early with Ava tomorrow morning!
Some updates: I realized that I have been forgetting to say that Marc will NOT be changing shifts at work, which is a bonus! We are both glad he is staying put for now.
Ava's tooth is now pretty much out as Grandmaman even spotted it today!

Glad Ava had a nice visit with Grand-Maman and Grand-Papa. Those moments for the kids are so precious, aren't they?
