This morning I was off to a bit of a rough start due to the fact that Ava decided to wake up at 4:45 and not settle back down. I thought after a feeding she would fall back asleep as she often has done in the past, but not today! It seemed as though she knew that I didn't have to leave the house quite as early today and was counting on her sleeping in until 6:45 again!
After finally giving up on sleep just before six, I took Ava downstairs to play in her excersaucer while I dozed on the couch beside her. Marc came down about 15 minutes after we did as he was taking solo parenting duties for the day while I was at my conference. I spent some time with Ava on her playmat before I had to leave. I was out the door around 8 as my conference began at 8:30. What a huge difference in travel time from driving to Portage la Prairie everyday! I was there in about 15 minutes and home in about 25. Nice! The conference was very interesting, and I'm looking forward to learning about all the different aspects of my new job.
After getting home, Marc tried (unsuccessfully) to go to sleep for a bit before work tonight and I entertained Ava. Unfortunately, she is having a bit of a rough evening and having some trouble sleeping...I hope it does not last all night.

It was great to have your little miss with us yesterday. We're truly blessed to have such a wonderful little niece/cousin!
