Out like a Roaring Lion!

Today is the last day of the month of March, and it certainly went out like a Lion!! It started out to be a promising day, but now freshly fallen snow has covered everything AGAIN, and we may get another 10 cm once everything is said and done! That makes about 40 cm (almost 1.5 feet) of snow in less than two weeks!

We had a productive day at home despite the weather. Marc managed to put up the safety gate blocking the basement stairs so that Ava can wander around without danger of falling down the stairs. She is getting closer and closer to walking on her own, but I think she still prefers crawling right now as it enables her to get where she wants to be fairly easily and quickly. She had a lot of fun pulling down the towels off the oven bar and crawling under the kitchen table.

Ava is 'talking' more and more, clapping her hands and doing a lot of mimicking. She can walk while holding onto just one of our hands, and she will often take one of her books and 'read' on her own. Everyday we are so blessed to have such an intelligent, wonderful daughter!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day because I am going to get some sewing done as Grandmaman and Grandpapa are coming by to help me sew and take care of Ava. Luckily for us, Jacques will be coming by around 9:30 while Joelle takes Mikka to the doctor for his first shots, so Ava will have a lot of fun playing with her cousin! My goal for the day is to sew the boys' duvet covers for the new quilts they got for Christmas, as well as curtains for five windows. They have been curtainless for too long, and hopefully the sewing will go quickly!! I'm thinking that it probably will as sewing straight lines is pretty easy! :>
