Poisson d'Avril

Today's title reflects the day we've had. In French, "Poisson d'Avril" means "April Fool's", but I just like the word poisson, so I used the French version instead! ;> Anyway, we got another huge dumping of snow leaving everything very sloppy and slushy. I certainly hope this snow does not come back until at least December after this!

Grandmaman and Grandpapa came by today to help us get a lot of jobs done, as well as 'watching' Jacques. I say 'watching' because Jacques is pretty independent, being quite content to watch Wall-E and play with some toys. He made little visits to come see what we were up to, and then would head back to the living room. Such a great little guy!

Grandmaman and I managed to sew Alix and Sam's duvet covers, but that was all we had time to do today in between putting Ava down for naps and feedings (two of each). Tomorrow I'm hoping to sew some of the curtains, which should go a lot faster than the duvets. I had to sew zippers for the first time today, so that was a learning experience!

Ava had a grumpier day than usual today because she refused to sleep for very long during her naps. She also wanted a lot of attention which she was not getting during the sewing extravaganza. Tomorrow should be more back to normal, although we may head to Grandmaman's to do some more sewing. We'll see how things go! She did go to bed tonight at 2000, which is earlier than the recent past. I hope she has a great night's sleep!
