In Like a Proverbial Lamb...

Today is March the First and every March I always think back to first grade. Every year the grade ones made little pie plate lions or lambs to commerorate the how March "came in", as in the old saying, "In like a lamb, out like a lion" or vice versa. The year I was in grade one, March came in like a lion, so we got to make little lion pie plates. This year, I call March coming in like a lamb, because even though it was quite cold out (-15 with a -25 degree Celcius windchill), the sun was shining so brightly and the wind wasn't too crazy, so a lamb it is! I'm looking forward to making little lambs or lions with Ava when she's old enough!

After having brunch out, we hit up Costco to pick up some needed items, and luckily for us, ran into Jacques and Kevin! They were picking up a few items themselves, so we chatted for a few minutes. Jacques has taken to playing pretty shy these days, so when we bumped into their cart he was avoiding eye contact and not wanting to talk very much. I did manage to coax him into talking a bit by asking him about where Mikka was, and about going to church earlier that morning. We left them go on their way, and off we went, too.

On the Ava front, she was in a better mood today compared to yesterday afernoon! She ate great at all her meals today, and fell asleep as we perused through Costco. She even slept through the automatic car wash! By 1900 though, she was ready for bed again. It's interesting how some days she can stay up until 2000, and others she barely makes it to 1900! Hopefully the teeth aren't bothering her tonight, and she sleeps right through without any trouble!

Showing off her teeth and getting kisses from Earl on her hand!

Wow, Ava, Jacques hates car washes - I can't even get close to one without him protesting! ;)
