Mixed Day

This morning Ava woke up just after 7:00 after a good night's sleep. I got her up and ready for the day as I was heading out around 9:30 with Joelle, Jacques and Mikka to our hairdresser's and Ava was staying with Papa.

She was having a great morning so far, and ate breakfast and played, happy as a lark. Ava didn't even cry when I left, which made me feel good about heading out. I knew she was in excellent hands with her Papa, so off we journeyed for a haircutting fiesta.

Jacques was adorable as always, and Mikka was very sweet, too! I really got some good opportunities to give him lots of cuddles and kisses while Joelle was getting her hair done. He even fell asleep in my arms, which always feels good!! Jacques did extremely well getting his hair cut, letting Julie use the electric clippers on him for the first time! He even got some gel to make his hair a little spiky, which he seemed to think was pretty cool! He looked so adorable!!

After I got dropped off, I came in to give Ava a big hug! I had missed her, even though it felt nice to get out and have a treat. Grandpapa and Grandmaman stopped by about 15 minutes after I got home so that Grandpapa could up our pantry doors. They look so fabulous, I keep opening and closing them in disbelief!! He did such an awesome job, and now our kitchen looks much better.

After our visitors left, Ava went down for a good hour and twenty minute nap. Marc and I also passed out on the couches downstairs with Earl. Everyone was having a snooze. When Ava woke up, we fed her supper and headed to Home Outfitter's to get some drapes for her room to block out the evening sun and make her room darker for her early bedtime. We found what we needed, and headed back home where Ava proceeded to play and have fun until quarter after eight. She was in a great mood, and very much enjoyed playing with Papa!

As an aside, Ava also has cut a third bottom tooth, and is cutting a fourth top tooth! It's a very busy little mouth!
