Busy Days

The last few weeks have been especially busy around our house, especially concerning Marc's schedule. I have also been trying to keep myself and Ava entertained with a variety of different actvities to pass the long days when Papa can't be home with us.

Today was no exception, really. The day started off at 5:30 this morning for me, as Ava was done sleeping. I can't really complain though, because she had a solid nights' sleep without waking up! Anyway, we came downstairs and played as is our norm and when Papa woke up he made us breakfast (Ava had already eaten, but she sure wanted to eat again, anyway!) It is interesting to see that Ava really wants to try what we're eating now, too. It's very important that we don't leave her out! After breakfast, it was time for Ava to have a nap, and she had a nice, long one while I lay down for a little doze myself.

Pretty soon it was noon and time to get organized for Mitey Signs. Ava had a quick lunch and I made a few phone calls before we headed out the door. Marc also had a meeting, so we all left at the same time. On the way home from signing, Ava fell asleep and had another little nap for about an hour. Grandpapa stopped by to pick up our pantry doors from our kitchen to refinish them in his apartment's wood working room. We are very thankful that he has offered to do this for us, because the pantry has been doorless for over a year now! It will be nice to not have all of our dry goods out in the open for a change! :>

Once Marc got home, it was time to make supper. We barbequed some chicken since the weather has been fairly seasonal for spring today. It was very yummy! After supper, it was bath time. Ava really enjoys the bath, but she keeps trying to stand up in the tub. It is a constant "battle" to ask her to sit down and help her back down onto her bottom or knees.

Marc headed out a little after bath time for another meeting - this one at Alix's future high school for a parent information evening. It is hard to believe, but Alix will be in ninth grade in September already! I'm sure he is getting excited about going to a new school and starting this new experience in his life. I know I'm excited about it!

Tomorrow Marc is off to more training for his new job, and Ava and I are going to Archwood for another program being offered for the next four Wednesdays. I hope she makes it through playing without being too cranky!
