Out for a Walk

With Marc's new shifts (working four straight days in a row), I am finding the days very long at home. I am trying to be creative in breaking up the days with different activities to keep us from getting bored. For example, on Saturday Ava and I went for a swim, and Sunday we went for our very first walk around our neighbourhood! Of course I had to bundle Ava up as though it was winter anyway, but the day was sunny and warm and the wind was barely there.

Here is a picture of Ava after we got back from the walk, still all bundled up in her little "snowsuit", mittens and toque. I had already taken off the scarf!

Tomorrow morning Ava and I are on our own, but we have Papa back in the afternoon. The plan of the day tomorrow is to install the baby gate leading to the basement stairs. I am looking forward to the gate going up to allow Ava freedom to roam around the main floor while allowing me to get some things done in the kitchen every now and again!
