We decided we would never get out for dinner that night, so we decided to grab breakfast or lunch instead and bring our favourite sweetheart with us. Among running some other errands we ate a quick bite and then headed back home as Marc and I were both pretty tired. All in all, it was nice to spend the day together considering that Marc would normally been working nights on his old schedule (new position, new schedule!)
Today Ava is ten months old! Time seems to be going to so quickly now! In just eight short weeks, I will be back at the old grind and Ava will be making fairly regular appearances at daycare. I am ok with the fact that she will be going to daycare because it is a small, in-home daycare with only three other children. It will provide her an atmosphere to play with other children her own age or a little older and experience a new structured environment with new activities for her to try. I know there are definitely some days that I think daycare is an excellent idea (the days that I am worn out!) and others that I really wish I could stay home forever.
Ava also stayed home alone with her Papa for the afternoon while I went out to a friend's home for a Partylite show. It was fun, and I bought some items that I think will benefit some areas of our home in terms of bringing in a nice fragrance and looking nice also. We had fun chatting and eating some really great snacks, and then I headed back home to have supper with Marc and Ava. When I got home at 1700, the house was quiet and Earl was in his kennel, a sure sign that Ava was asleep. I quietly made my way downstairs and saw Ava passed out on Marc's chest while he was asleep too! It was so cute!! Unfortunately, I did not get a picture because I was afraid of waking the two of them up with the flash. It will make a priceless memory, at any rate!
Here are some pictures of Ava for her ten month anniversary!
