Afternoon Downtown

This week has been a little lonely for Ava and I because Marc (Papa) has been working or at a course everyday. This is unusual as he is home after his shifts for the most part. Due to his new job he is doing training and there is more to come, with clinical rotations at the local Health Sciences Centre and dialysis clinic. Needless to say, we are missing his company during the day!!

I have been trying to keep Ava busy and so we have been out and about the last few days with Mitey Signs on Tuesday afternoon, quick shopping trip Wednesday and baby play drop-in on Thursday. For today, I made arrangements for a visit with Grandmaman and Grandpapa at their apartment downtown. We headed over after Ava's morning nap just after 10:00. Once we arrived, Ava ate a little snack and then played with the plethora of toys Grandmaman has stocked at her house. Luckily Ava had a great night's sleep and was therefore in a fabulous mood up until 1400, when it was evident that another nap was needed.

After a good hour long sleep, we packed up and headed for tante Joelle's as we needed to drop off some hockey tickets for Kevin, Jacques, Colin and Chase to use for tonight's game. Marc, his dad, Alix and Sam were also going to the game, but they got their tickets in a different area (the box suites) from a colleague of Marc's so they were able to pass on the other tickets to Kevin and company.

Once back at home, Ava played and harrassed Earl, which is a daily activity! Alix and Sam got dropped off around 1700 and they watched some TV and played video games while waiting for Grandpapa to pick them up. Marc was meeting them at the game after his shift. Ava and I stayed home, ate supper and Ava had a bath. She was ready for bed just after 1900 and went down without a fuss. We are still dealing with her sitting up at night sometimes, but hopefully she will have another great night's sleep tonight!

Tomorrow we actually get to see Papa for a few hours during the day before his night shift! We are very excited!
