I guess it was appropriate that on the eve of Elvis' 74th birthday that Ava was squirming all over her crib and dancing before dawn. She woke up at 4:30 on her tummy, propping herself up with her arms. I decided to feed her in hopes that she would settle back down and sleep until a more decent time of 7:30 or so. She did settle back down, but woke up at around 6:10 and that was it for night time sleeps. Luckily for me, Papa took Ava downstairs to play while I snoozed a little longer. I really wish that she would not move around quite so much in bed these days. She used to sleep so well all night long, and now she's up every night and all over the place!
After we all woke up for the day Marc re-arranged the furniture in our living room which we haven't used in about six months as it became a catch-all room for various baby stuff we weren't using anymore as well as a seventy-gallon aquarium and stand that was taking up a significant amount of space. We managed to sell the tank last week, so the living room could be once again a valuable living space! It looks a hundred times better than it did, and now Ava has some toys upstairs to play with while I am doing something in the kitchen or while I get some sewing done with my new sewing machine from Christmas. So far, I haven't even set the machine up, but that is my goal for the next week.
The cleaning and organizing bug stayed with me after supper as I finally took down our Christmas tree. As I was putting it away, I said "Seeya in two years, Tree!" and Marc looked up and said, "Oh, that's right!" because we will be away for Christmas next year and won't bother putting up a tree in our house. I hope Jacques won't be too disappointed that he won't get to put a tree up in his house next year (but I doubt Joelle and Kevin told him that!) ;>

To please our little prince - who keeps asking "When are we going to get our new tree?" ever since we brought this Christmas' to the recycling depot - we will get him a little tree for a few weeks before we leave for our Christmas trip... I know, I know - feeding the monster - but I can't help it!!! ;)
Maybe she just needed "Her Teddy Bear" :)
