Ava is proving her independence more and more each day by eating finger foods more easily by herself. I'm not sure exactly how much she's getting in her mouth versus how much is landing in her highchair and how much more Earl is managing to scavenge off the chair and floor. She does need a little help with the more "slippery" foods, such as pears, but she did great tonight at supper with toast sticks, cauliflower and broccoli. Papa fed her the cereal as that would be a very messy endeavour.
Other than running some useless errands, nothing very exciting happened today. We had a treat of Chinese food for supper and there is some left over for lunch tomorrow -yum! Papa woke up with Ava early this morning as she decided to fuss for just over an hour last night and kept me hopping from her room to ours. I was exceptionally lazy and slept in this morning even though I had a lot of things I could have done, I stayed in bed until after Ava's morning nap! This put us a little behind for the rest of the day, but I know that before too long Marc will be back at work and it will be a string of early mornings for me with little reprieve!
Bedtime was a bit challenging tonight as Ava had a lot of trouble going down. Of course as she is getting older and moving more and more, it is becoming more and more difficult to place her down and cover her up and let her fuss it out a bit! She scoots all over her bed, rolls around and gets tangled or completely uncovered! I hope she settles down when in bed, because waking up every night to tuck her back in is resulting in a tired baby during the day!
