Last Day with Papa

Today was Marc's last day of vacation. We have been so lucky to have him home with us for the past month (He has been off work since December 13th!) which is a rare treat! Of course, the initial reason behind taking such a long break was to take our trip to Maui, but due to the change in plans Marc decided to keep the vacationa anyway and enjoy some time at home.

It was a busy month even though we were both home! Marc has finished tiling the ensuite bathroom tub and shower and it looks wonderful! We are both looking forward to the messy job being completed when the grout is applied this weekend. And then it will be bath and shower time upstairs!! We have waited for over three years to have a properly working bathroom upstairs and our patience is paying off!

We also managed to gather together the various baby items that Joelle and Kevin had loaned to us for Ava which we are now returning for further usage! Our bedroom looks a lot bigger now that the baby cradle is not occupying space. The crib is the only left to bring by which will likely happen a next week some time. We don't want to overwhelm the Morgans with all this baby stuff at one time!

Nothing much else is new except that Ava is continuing to eat very well on her own. She can pick up cottage cheese, bananas and Cheerios without much problem as she demonstrated at lunch time today. In fact, she is less interested in letting us feed her now and is actually gets mad when I don't let her mush around her cereal. I am getting more lenient in letting her get messy which her high chair can attest to.

Tomorrow is our first day in a long time without Papa and we will miss him dreadfully! I'm hoping to break up the day by going for a swim at Grandmaman and Grandpapa's if the weather isn't too miserable and if Ava is a good mood.
