The weather has not been too spectacular this spring. Today, it rained for most of the day, was sunny a bit, and then rained again! I was disappointed that we couldn't take Ava for a walk after supper today, but Opa came by for a visit so the evening was still more enjoyable than usual!
On Tuesday we celebrated Marc and Grandpapa's birthday at Marc's parents' house. We also got to meet our newest niece, Chloe, Michelle and Christian's newest daughter. Chloe is very teeny, just 6 lbs 6 ozs at birth, and she was 6 lbs when they left the hospital. I told Michelle that she didn't even look real - she was so tiny! I managed to steal her from Grandmaman for a few minutes for a bit of a cuddle while Ava stole Joelle from Mikka! It was so cute to see Ava giving Joelle hugs!
Supper was really yummy, followed by cake and good conversations. Ava held up surprisingly well, and we headed home around 1900 so she could have a bath and get to bed. We have been so lucky with how easily Ava goes to bed these days, even for naps. She doesn't even really want to cuddle! She wants us to put her in bed, cover her up and turn on her music box and off she drifts. It's pretty amazing!
This weekend we are hoping to go to a major garage sale to try and pick up some toys for Ava. We are also going to try planting some plants this weekend - if it doesn't snow!
