Ava had a rough morning by having a coughing fit at 5:30 this morning. She wasn't crying, and settled down shortly afterwards but of course she woke both Marc and I up, and I immediately went into worry mode. She fell back asleep until about 7:20, where she started coughing again. We got her up and gave her her bottle but it was obvious that the running nose and persistent coughing were giving her troubles. Marc called one of his coworkers whose partner is a pediatrician, and she said that unless her lungs were crackling or she developed a fever, there was really nothing we could give her other than baby Tylenol or Motrin.
I went to work after realizing that it was pointless going to the doctor's, but was unable to focus all day because I was worried about Ava. To top it all off, it is a miserably cold day (only about 7 degrees Clecius), cloudy and windy! I think there was even a windchill! In addition to all that, I'm starting to feel yukky too, a bit of a headache, runny nose, sore throat - euch. I hope I perk up for tomorrow morning's massive garage sale extravaganza!
Hopefully Ava will have a good night tonight with her humidifier going and nice and snuggly in her blankets.

Poor Ava! I hope she feels better! We are in the same boat with Matthew - runny nose and cough. Take care!
