Summer fun

Ava has fully enjoyed the pleasant summer weather we have been (finally!) experiencing. She loves playing outdoors, going for walks, playing at the park, and most recently splashing in a little wading pool! Joelle and Kevin lent us Jacques' little star pool as he has a new fancy one now. I filled it with air while Ava was eating her dinner and then filled it with lukewarm water for her to splash around a bit in it after she ate.

I am trying to keep busy in the evenings as Marc is working and not home until after 1900. I put Ava in her swimsuit (minus the Swimmers) and let her splash around with a few little cups. After about half an hour, she was ready to get out. I gathered her up in a towel and brought her in the house to get her ready for a bath. Well - to put it mildly, she sure needed the bath because she decided to take advantage of not wearing any Swimmers! I had a lot of cleaning up to do in the derriere department, and got Ava into the tub ASAP.

My evening went from bad to worse in the bodily fluids area as I made Ava laugh so hard during her bath that she threw up! I couldn't believe it and I started laughing even more, which made Ava laugh more - it was not a good situation! I drained the tub and had to wash Ava off with the shower head, which she didn't really care for, especially when the time came to rinse her hair!

After bath time drama, Ava got into her PJs and played for a bit while waiting for her Papa to get home. Marc put her to bed at 2030, and after fussing for 10 minutes (this is the second night in a row, so not sure what that's about), she zonked out.

I am hoping for no surprises tomorrow, as tody I got two very unexpected ones!
