Impressed!

Ava and I are 'batching' it, as Marc is up north for the week. He left Friday, and after a weekend filled with a lot of fun activities, we have been able to get by the past couple of days without thinking about papa every second! :)

Saturday morning started off with l'enfant musical, where Ava did much better this week as she was not struggling after her booster shots. She seemed to have fun playing with the insruments and watching the other kids, too. In the afternoon, we headed off to our friends' house, who also have two little girls, one is 21 months and the other is only 2.5 months old! Katelyn also came to play, as did Tylar, another little boy who will be 3 in May. We ate good food, enjoyed good company and the kids played together wonderfully! By 7:30 though, Ava was showing signs of wear, so we packed up and headed home.

Today we went to mass and then out for a yummy breakfast with Grandmaman and Grandpapa (merci!) and then home to nap. I watched the first half of the Winnipeg/Hamilton game and then once Ava woke up, we met Jacques and Joelle for a concert at the CCFM. Ava enjoyed the concert for the most part, although her attention span was a little short to enjoy the whole thing! I'm afraid that Jacques did not like the concert at all, though, asking if it was over before the first song ended! (Sorry Joelle!)

The day was busy, but I very much enjoyed watching Ava interact with all of the activities, noting how much she is changing and growing. The most impressive things that happened today, though, involved the potty! Ava told me she had to go potty three times today, and successfully 'went' each time! I was very proud of her, and impressed!! Hopefully this is the start of the beginning of using the potty regularly (pardon the pun!)

As Jacques would say, "Wowzers, Ava!" Such a big girl already!

Thanks for the fun, Sunday, girls! BTW, although Jacques kept asking if the concert was over all he's been talking about since then was how much he liked the music. I realize now he kept asking if it was over because he didn't want it to be over - that is until near the end when he really wanted it to be over! ;)
