Last weekend we headed out to Fargo with our good friends, Russ and Kim, and their little girls to do some crazy sales shopping!
We left Winnipeg Thursday afternoon (American Thanksgiving) and arrived in Fargo around 1700h or so. We checked into out suite and Marc zipped out to quickly get some milk and a couple of items to tide us over until the stores were open on Friday so we could get some real groceries.
Kim and I started our shopping extravaganza on Thursday night at 2330h! We hit the West Acres Mall where Baby Gap was selling everything for 50% off the last ticketed price. We grabbed some cute clothes for our girls and then trolled the rest of the mall, waiting until Kohl's opened at 3:00! We found another stores with clothes for us, and cashed in.
By 2:20, we were one of the many fools standing in line freezing our butts off outside of Kohl's. Our group was on TV, but thanks to my vertical imparitment (short), I was not on any of the broadcasts!! Kim, however, had a starring role!
The weekend was filled with lots of shopping and lots of playing for the girls, but soon it was time to head back home. Monday morning we loaded up the very full car and drove north! The drive was great and Ava slept quite a long time on the way home. Crossing the border was ineventful and before we knew it, we were home! We unloaded all of our purchases and picked up Earl.
We are home safe and sound, had a great trip, and are totally broke! :)
