Marc and I started potty training Ava this past week. Our babysitter is closed until after Labour Day, so we thought we would take the opportunity to train Ava while we were both home with her. The first three days were accident filled, and nothing on the potty. Yesterday after Marc went to work, Ava made a big number 2 on the potty, and then a number 1!
Today we had some success and some near successes! She seems to be getting there for the most part. I have come to the realization that potty training a toddler is really training for perseverance for adults!
Due to the fact that we are really hoping that she will be trained for the most part before heading back to our sitter's in a week and a bit, we are staying close to home and to the potty. Tomorrow is supposed to be very hot (31 degrees Celcius), so maybe we will make a trip out to the wading pool. Let's hope for less accidents tomorrow! :)
