Bike Ride Day

Today we participated in the Second Annual EMS Bike Ride in support of the Manitoba Downs Society. It was a 15 km bike ride from Assiniboine Park, down to Omand Park, down Wellington Crescent back to the park. It was so great! Alix joined us, and the four of us had a great time! Alix was also so helpful, spending much of the afternoon keeping an eye on Ava and helping her on the big bouncing slide. What a fabulous big brother!

Ava was so great all day, too! She was awesome all morning at the park, running around and playing with all her little friends and then coming home for a 2-hour nap! After the nap, Ava had a snack and then we went to go pick up our trailer to get it ready for the camping season - fun! Ava was a little disappointed that Opa wasn't home when we got there because he decided to come and visit us here at our house! Like two ships in the night, we passed each other completely!

After spending the majority of the day outside, we had a late dinner (on the deck, of course) and then it was time to clean Ava up and put her to bed. This week is a busy one at week for me as I'm out of the office doing some course facilitation for four days, meaning that I have to get out of the house well before 8:00 am - a challenge for Ava and I these days!!
