So Neglectful!

I realized that it has been a long time since my last post - but it isn't because nothing has happened around here! I guess just trying to do summer things while the sun shines and work have taken up some of my spare time. The other time is all Ava time, so we're pretty busy around here!

I took some time off at the end of June to have a long weekend, and it rained the entire time! We managed to clean out our office though, and it is much cleaner than it was before even though it still needs some fine tuning. On Canada Day I headed out to St. Ambroise to spend the day with Grandmaman and Grandpapa, tante Joelle, oncle Kevin, Jacques and Mikka. They were camping there and Ava and I were all alone for the holiday with Marc working. The day was beautiful, not too hot and not buggy due to the breeze. Ava had a lot of fun walking around the campsite and spending time with her grandparents. Unfortunately Joelle and family had to pack up and leave early due to Kevin's allergies really bothering him.

The following two weeks were busy with a party for Chloe on July the 5th and setting up our camper trailer with final necessities before our first camping trip of the season on the tenth. We headed to St. Malo Provincial Park and had an absolutely fabulous weekend camping. The weather was perfect camping weather and the company was equally so. Alix came along and brought a friend as Sam had a birthday party he wanted to go to. We hated to pack up and leave, but we are definitely looking forward to camping later this August for nine whole days!

Today was a fun day too, as we met Jacques at the splash pad this afternoon. Jacques has a lot of fun playing in the water and the play structure, and it was great to see him interacting with Ava. Mikka demonstrated his sitting prowess, and we were all very impressed! After Ava seemed to be bored with the water, we said our goodbyes and made loose plans to meet up this weekend for a bit.

Another bonus of today - I picked our first strawberries of the season from our garden! They were sooo good! We didn't eat them all though, as we are saving the rest for Ava! Tomorrow, it's back to the grind and then off for six days!! Yay for summer vacation! :)
