Birthdays and Turkeys

We have had a busy September, and October is shaping up to be much the same! We went camping one more time in early September before packing up and winterizing our trailer until the spring. We especially enjoyed our trip due to our new Cabella loungers (thanks again, Morgans)! Ava went back to her sitter's potty trained and without her diapers, for which we are very proud of her!

At the end of September we celebrated Lisette's birthday and Claudette and Raymond's wedding anniversary with a very yummy lasagne dinner made by the birthday girl herself. It was nice to have dinner with everyone (except Marc who was out of town), as we haven't gotten together in a long time!

L'enfant musicale also started up again for the year, with our first class on the second of October. Ava really enjoyed playing with all of the instruments this year, and her participation has greatly improved compared to last year! She follows directions very well, and was doubly excited to have Mikka in the class with her this year!

Thanksgiving was also a flurry of activity, mostly because it crept up on me! The weather has been beautiful this fall, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celcius during Thanksgiving weekend! Our plan was to get all of our yard work done, and we did get most of it out of the way even though it was slow going. Luckily the leaves are mainly raked, grass cut and Marc fixed our front deck that had sloped when the ground where our stairs used to be settled. Of course, our yard is always a work in process, but hopefully we can it looking more like we want it to early in the spring.

Ava is learning and mastering different things everyday! She surprised Marc and I by counting from one to ten all by herself without making a mistake, and she knows almost all of her colours now. She is starting to really understand the concept of time (ie, today, later today and tomorrow). She also loves her swimming class! We had one class so far and she did very well! She cannot wait to put on her bathing suit and go swimming again soon! Mikka is also in her class for swimming, so she luckily gets a double dose of Mikka-goodness a week! Ava also loves going to Alix's football games. She is so proud that she gets to watch him play, and she loves to clap and cheer for her big brother!

Now we all have the Bomber's and Alix's football games to cheer on, as well as Halloween to look forward to!
