As of tomorrow, Marc is back to working 12-hour shifts again. It's not too much of a change/struggle for me, because I'm used to him working this type of schedule, but I think Ava will have some adjusting to do with Papa not being home every night!
Ava is also changing schedules on us - namely, her sleep schedule! I'm not sure what is going on, but the last week has been brutal with her not wanting to go to bed and sleep, and then waking up one to three times in the night by getting out of bed and walking around. So frustrating as she has always been an excellent sleeper since infancy. I hope that she gets out of this little phase soon, and lets her maman and papa get some sleep! :)
Other than the poor sleeping around our house, Ava is loving the outdoors. She enjoys helping us around the yard, playing at the park, going for bike rides and camping. We are planning on building a play structure for her this summer so that if we don't have the time to get to the playground, she can have her own mini-version closer to home!
Next week, Ava's babysitter is taking the week off for vacation so Marc and I are on our own! :) I hope the weather stays nice so that we can do some fun things, and also get ready for our long camping trip. Our trailer is in the shop, getting a new part put in for the hot water heater which was not working for us when we were at Spruce Woods. Hopefully with the part replaced, hot water and a happy mommy will be restored! It's funny how you get used to the luxuries of a camper so quickly! Hopefully it will be ready shortly and we can bring it home and load it up without being in too much of a rush before we head out to the campground.
I guess I better plan an activity or two for Saturday for Ava and I, what with papa working all day! Good luck for your first days back on the street, papa! We love you!!
